POC team riders win six medals at Winter X Games!

POC WOULD LIKE TO THANK ALL OF OUR TEAM RIDERS FOR GREAT ACHIEVEMENTS AT WINTER X GAMES! TJ Schiller (CAN) Gold Free skiing phenomenon TJ Schiller won a well deserved gold medal in the 13th Winter X games Slopestyle! No one could top T.J, who came to the competition as an alternate, without even a certain spot in the contest. Schiller is returning from a knee injury (torn ACL early in the 08 season) missed most of last years season and we are happy to se he is back and in great shape! T.J has been riding extremely well so far this season and he is looking forward to continuing his success at the 3rd stop of the MT Dew Tour and US Open. Tanner Hall (USA) Silver Tanner and Simon Dumont have a history of duels at the Winter X Games in ski Super Pipe and they got to duel side by side yet again. This year they switched places on the podium as Tanner won the silver medal. It was hardly a surprise Tanner ended up on the podium since he pulled off perhaps some of his biggest airs ever! Jon Olsson (SWE) Silver Jon was up against Simon Dumont in final. Jon’s last 2 jumps were perfect and on the highest difficult level. Although, this was not enough to keep the gold medal from last year. Simon Dumont’s jumps were also perfect and he was hugely popular by the audience and viewers in the US, who voted by SMS and finally gave Jon the silver medal. Hiroomi Takizawa (JAP) Silver Hiroomi secured the silver medal in the Skier X final by fighting all the way to the finish line. With a slow start of the season Hiroomi now showed stabile skiing all through the races and he definitely proved he has come back to life! Magdalena Iljans (SWE) Silver Magdalena won the silver medal in the Women’s Skier X final. Just like Hiroomi, Magdalena has had a slow start of the season but in the final, she lead most of the race and finally ended up second. Magdalena shows that she has more to give in the future! KJ Van Der Klooster (NL) Bronze KJ took the bronze medal in the Mono Skier X Final. Welcome to the team KJ and congratu- lations to the bronze!
