Job Description

The Accounting Manager role is a key position in the financial operations for POC North America. This position requires a well-rounded accountant with the ability to drive accounting practices and process improvements in all areas of accounting and finance. The ideal candidate must have experience handling accounts payable, payroll adjustments, balance sheet reconciliation, accounts receivable reconciliations, internal control process improvement and more. This position will require supervision of the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable team to ensure that entries are recorded accurately and timely. This position will work under the supervision of the North American Controller. We're looking for a candidate who has strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles, an understanding of Microsoft Dynamics (or similar ERP system), a strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience with general office tasks. This position reports directly to POC North America’s Controller who will provide support and leadership. This position is located in Park City, Utah.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:
      • Supervise the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable team to make sure that customer and vendor payments are being recorded appropriately.
      • Reconcile various reports including shipping reports, website platform reports, and other third-party reports with POC’s ERP to ensure that transactions are getting recorded accurately.
      • Manage various ad hoc / data analytical projects as assigned by Controller
      • Lead the accounting team through the monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements.
      • Prepare schedules and other information requested by external auditors for the annual audit of the company’s financial statements
      • Assist with the cash flow forecasting and reporting
      • Process payroll bi-weekly and perform adjustments and reconciliations as needed
      • Send commission payments and statements to our independent sales representatives monthly
      • Document and develop internal controls, management review controls, policies, and procedures

Qualifications

Education

      • Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
      • Preferred: Master’s degree in accounting or Finance or MBA

Work Experience

      • Min: 5+ years of accounting experience preferred.

Skills and General Experience

      • Experience in Microsoft Dynamics AX
      • Proficient in General Accounting
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
      • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in an extremely fast-paced environment
      • Strong service mind, highly organized, efficient, helpful, proactive, energetic
      • A professional and positive attitude
      • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and advanced Excel skills.
